quando imbucano le solitudini del mare
e il senso posseggono d'essere esili privilegiati
resti del corpo naturale
figlie tutte quante dell'orfanità
 The sky that ducks carry with them,
when they are the memory
of protruding lines of peat
on the lips of spring.

When they take the direction of the sea's kinds of solitude,
and possess a sense of being the feeble, privileged
remains of Nature's body;
daughters of orphanhood, one and all.
